Choosing a pet product OEM manufacturer in Vietnam usually comes down to more than price per unit. Here are the five questions we’d suggest asking any supplier — including us — before you commit to a private-label run.
1. What’s the MOQ, and does it change between stock and private-label orders?
Some suppliers quote one MOQ regardless of whether you’re buying an existing SKU or asking for your logo on it. Both start at 50 pieces per item code: stock items, and private label with your logo engraved. Printed private-label packaging starts at 500 pieces. Ask any supplier to break this down the same way — a supplier quoting one flat MOQ for both may be underselling how much a fully custom run actually requires from their production line.
2. What branding options are actually available, and at what cost?
For wood-based products specifically, ask whether branding means a printed label stuck on afterward, or something applied directly to the product. We offer laser engraving directly onto the wood (0.10 USD per piece, from 50 pieces) alongside custom kraft or eco-cardboard labels (5×8cm standard, or custom size, full-color printing; under 100 pieces adds 0.15 USD per piece) and custom paper/kraft boxes with barcode or QR printing.
3. What export documentation ships with every order — not just on request?
Ask whether certificates are standard or something you have to request and pay extra for. Ours ship on every order by default: a Certificate of Origin (Form B, VCCI Ho Chi Minh City), a Fumigation Certificate, and a Phytosanitary Certificate from Vietnam’s Plant Protection Department. If a supplier can’t answer this clearly, that’s worth noting before you place a deposit.

A private-label MOQ is a real commitment — sizing, packaging, and branding all need to be right before you scale up to printed packaging (from 500 units). 5. What’s the actual lead time, and does it match your sales calendar?
“Fast” means different things to different suppliers. Ours: 5–7 days for orders under 500 pieces, 60–80 days for a full container (plus 30–35 days sea transit from Cat Lai port to the EU or US). If you’re planning around a seasonal launch, work backward from your in-market date using the full-container timeline, not the small-order timeline — the two are very different.
